Machine Learning Engineer

The Document Cloud team at Adobe is at the forefront of developing cutting-edge PDF solutions across Web, Mobile, Desktop, and Platform APIs. We are leveraging Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning, and Generative AI to handle billions of PDFs monthly. We seek a passionate and experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join our team, focusing on advancing algorithms and methods for processing large volumes of content.

Key Responsibilities

1. Algorithm Development. Develop and implement deep learning algorithms and state-of-the-art methods in NLP and computer vision. Combine these with traditional solutions to tackle complex problems.
2. Experimentation & Engineering. Design and run experiments, build algorithms, and deliver scalable solutions that provide high accuracy and robustness.
3. Collaboration. Work closely with research and engineering teams to make necessary trade-offs and rapidly develop and deploy AI/ML software solutions.

Qualifications

1. Education. B.Tech/MCA in Computer Science or related field; MS/PhD preferred.
2. Experience. 5-8 years of hands-on experience in deep learning, image processing, computer vision, and/or NLP.
3. Programming Skills. Proficient in Python for writing efficient, clean, and reusable code. Knowledge of C++ is a plus.
4. Machine Learning Expertise. Experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch, deep learning frameworks (CNNs, LSTMs, Transformers), and network architecture.
5. Solution Development. Proven track record of building solutions from scratch and integrating them into existing large codebases.
6. Software Development. Strong software development skills with a focus on creating maintainable and reusable code.

Preferred Skills

1. Deep Learning Knowledge. Exposure to CNNs, LSTMs, Transformers, and multi-task learning.
2. Codebase Integration. Experience in working with large codebases and writing maintainable code.
3. Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration. Ability to work across different research and engineering disciplines to deliver comprehensive AI/ML solutions.
