As an Engineering Manager in the Content Abuse AI team at LinkedIn, you will lead a team of Applied Researchers and Machine Learning Engineers. Your mission will be to develop and own algorithms, models, and ranking systems that ensure a safe, respectful, and professional platform for our users. This role requires a balance of hands-on technical leadership and strategic management, aimed at fostering innovation and driving impactful results.
Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership. Actively participate in key technical and design discussions with technical leads, contributing to the architecture and implementation of machine learning solutions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration. Partner with application engineering, product, and other teams to design and execute machine learning solutions, aligning with broader product and engineering strategies.
- Roadmap Development. Create and manage roadmaps for machine learning projects, driving execution and ensuring timely delivery of solutions.
- Talent Development. Attract top-tier talent, provide technical guidance, and mentor team members to support their career development and professional growth.
Basic Qualifications
- Management Experience. 2+ years of experience in a management role.
- Educational Background. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent technical experience.
- Industry Experience. 6+ years of experience in machine learning, optimization algorithms, and/or deep learning.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Degree. MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Scalability. Experience with web-scale traffic and data.
- Specialized Knowledge. Expertise in natural language processing, computer vision, content moderation, and/or anti-abuse.
- Statistical Modeling. Proven experience with statistical modeling deployed at scale.
- Skills. Strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, a sense of ownership, and strategic thinking.
