The project involves contributing to strategic regional platform management and optimization programs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and technical stakeholders to develop, support, and modernize integration services using Mulesoft. The ideal candidate will be someone with a solid background in MuleSoft development and support, API architecture, and secure integrations, especially in enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively participate in architecture and design discussions to shape scalable and maintainable integration solutions.
- Develop, test, and deploy enterprise-grade integrations and APIs using MuleSoft and Anypoint Platform.
- Collaborate with architects, project managers, and client teams to define solution requirements and implementation plans.
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Design and document RAML specifications for REST APIs.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in MuleSoft flows and integrations.
- Ensure high availability and performance of integration services, particularly in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Implement secure integration patterns including encryption/decryption, OAuth, and HTTPS configurations.
- Contribute to Mulesoft platform upgrades, specifically focusing on compatibility with newer Java versions (e.g., Java 17).
- Communicate technical challenges and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the performance and reliability of integration architecture.
Must-Have Skills
- 5+ years of professional experience in MuleSoft-based application development and support.
- Strong experience in RAML design for REST APIs.
- Proficiency with MuleSoft Anypoint Studio, Mule Expression Language (MEL), and Mule ESB.
- In-depth understanding of Mule connectors, Transformers, Routers, Scopes, Filters, and Exception Handling Mechanisms.
- Hands-on experience with SAP APIM, NW Gateway (NWG), and ASAPIO connectors/integrations.
- Experience in migrating Mulesoft services to support newer versions of Java, particularly Java 17.
- Solid understanding of security mechanisms in MuleSoft including API policies, encryption/decryption, and secure HTTP configurations (HTTPS).
- Proven ability to create reusable Mule flows, sub-flows, and shared error-handling patterns.
- Experience using Anypoint Platform for API management and deployment.
- Familiarity with advanced debugging and validation techniques within Mulesoft.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Working knowledge of Java, including object-oriented programming principles.
- Exposure to Microsoft Azure cloud services.
- Experience in Kafka or Confluent event streaming platforms.
- Familiarity with MS SQL Server or other relational databases for integration tasks.
- Understanding of Agile development practices and CI/CD pipelines.
