Job Description

We’re on the lookout for a highly skilled Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join our Product Engineering team and work on our cutting-edge, rule-based, multi-channel marketing campaign platform that supports some of the biggest names in the Fortune 100. You will play a vital role in the ongoing development and optimization of our platform by contributing to its design, automation, performance, and stability.

What You’ll Do

Technical Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design, develop, and implement new features and enhancements on the marketing platform.
  • Configure and manage the development environment in line with project requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, Product, Support) to ensure end-to-end feature delivery.
  • Develop solutions using Oracle PL/SQL and Unix Shell scripting that meet high standards of scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Participate in system patches, version upgrades, and production troubleshooting efforts.
  • Support automation initiatives to streamline operational processes.
  • Provide assistance for reporting and data extraction requirements.
  • Work with the QA team to define and verify test cases, analyze test results, and help drive product stability and quality.

Strategic & Analytical Responsibilities

  • Contribute to requirement analysis, solution architecture, and performance optimization.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on critical production issues and suggest long-term solutions.
  • Define and document software objectives, technical specifications, and implementation strategies.
  • Drive improvements in business process flow and development practices through continuous process evaluation.
  • Participate in or lead migration strategies for legacy systems to modern architectures.

Collaborative Responsibilities

  • Partner with developers, business analysts, project managers, and internal clients to bring ideas to life.
  • Mentor junior team members and review their work for quality and efficiency.
  • Effectively communicate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications We’re Looking For

Must-Have

  • 5 to 9 years of experience in software development.
  • Expert-level skills in Oracle Databases and PL/SQL programming.
  • Strong working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments and Shell scripting.
  • Solid understanding of Oracle database architecture, performance tuning, and SQL optimization.
  • Prior experience developing large-scale applications using Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills including impact and root cause analysis.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with AWS, Snowflake, and Databricks.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools like Informatica.
  • Exposure to SQL Server and CRM/Automotive Marketing platforms.
  • Knowledge of version control systems like TFS or similar.
  • Background in application monitoring, automation, and DevOps practices.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
