We are inviting applications for the role of Associate / Process Developer – Retirement Function. In this role, you will be responsible for all activities related to retirement benefits in US institutional retirement.
Key Responsibilities
- Retirement Plan Management. Demonstrate a solid understanding of various retirement plans such as 401(k), 403(b), and 457, while staying updated on relevant regulations.
- Record Maintenance. Maintain accurate contribution records for retirement participants, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and plan guidelines.
- Plan Administration. Assist plan sponsors with the administration of their retirement plans, including tasks like contribution calculation, non-standard trading, and complex record-keeping functions.
- Regulatory Compliance. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, including IRS regulations, ERISA guidelines, and plan documents.
- Coordination. Work with financial institutions and service providers to ensure the timely and secure distribution of retirement benefits.
- Participant Enrollment. Manage participant enrollment processes, verifying eligibility, processing forms, and updating information as needed.
- Compliance Monitoring. Oversee service providers, investment managers, and third parties to ensure compliance with fiduciary responsibilities.
- Customer Service. Address participant inquiries about contribution limits, eligibility requirements, and retirement planning resources.
- Investment Management. Assist with investment activities like fund transfers, rebalancing, and evaluating investment options.
- Loan Requests. Facilitate participant loan requests, ensuring compliance with plan rules and regulations.
- Compliance Reviews. Conduct regular compliance reviews to ensure adherence to plan documents, IRS regulations, and applicable laws.
- Stakeholder Communication. Communicate with plan sponsors, participants, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and provide updates.
- Record Keeping. Maintain accurate records of participant transactions, contributions, distributions, and other activities.
- Reporting. Generate and distribute periodic statements, reports, and compliance filings as required.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Education. Bachelor’s degree in commerce or an equivalent field.
- Skills. Basic understanding of retirement plans and regulatory requirements, strong attention to detail and accuracy, ability to work independently and as part of a team, good written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in email writing.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills
- Retirement Plan Expertise. Strong understanding of retirement plans, IRS regulations, and ERISA requirements.
- Technical Skills. Proficiency in retirement plan record-keeping systems and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Process Improvement. Knowledge of Quality Lean/Process Improvement.
- Adaptability. Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment and adapt to constantly changing priorities.
- Creativity. Ability to be proactive and think creatively.
- Learning Enthusiasm. Thirst for learning and analytical thinking with a fast learning ability.
