As a Senior or Lead Product / UX Designer at Salesforce, you will play a key role in crafting intuitive and engaging user experiences for our suite of products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and fellow designers, to develop user-centered designs that align with Salesforce’s design principles and business objectives. Your role involves understanding user needs, conducting user research, and translating insights into innovative design solutions.
Your Impact
- Communication. Present clear and compelling design ideas to stakeholders using documentation, reviews, and presentations.
- Collaboration. Act as a bridge between design, product, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive development and execution.
- Design Oversight. Oversee the design of multiple web and mobile application features, interfaces, and experiences.
- Design Consistency. Create designs that adhere to and extend the existing style guide, and generate detailed design specifications for accurate developer builds.
- Quality Delivery. Work with developers and quality experts to deliver polished, high-quality products.
- Mentorship. Mentor new design staff and advocate for inclusive design practices and accessibility.
- Vision Setting. Define and articulate the vision for a product’s creative identity, guiding the team through its implementation.
Minimum Requirements
- Education. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, User Experience Design, or a related field.
- Experience. Proven experience as a UX designer with a strong portfolio showcasing web and/or mobile application designs. Senior candidates typically have 7-10 years of experience, while Lead roles require 10+ years.
- Design Expertise. Deep understanding of user-centered design methods, design systems, and standard processes.
- Adaptability. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and agile environment while managing tight deadlines.
- Communication. Strong communication and active listening skills, with the ability to build and develop close, trusting relationships.
- Problem-Solving. Experience using analytics and user research to drive decisions and develop product iterations. Ability to distill complex problems into clear, elegant solutions.
- Systems Thinking. Capability to see the larger ecosystem of a project, improving the overall user flow.
- Technical Skills. Expert knowledge of current design tools such as Figma and the ability to quickly learn new tools.
- Global Perspective. Experience in developing software that is global in reach and designed for users with diverse languages and abilities.
