We’re on the lookout for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Full Stack / ReactJS Software Developer to join our Credit & Risk Solutions (C&RS) team within the S&P Global Market Intelligence division. This is a pivotal role within our Financial Risk Analytics (FRA) technology group, where you'll play a significant part in designing and delivering next-generation UI products for risk and capital markets.
FRA's platform is vital to supporting risk regulatory compliance for both Buy and Sell side institutions. It provides advanced analytics and cutting-edge user interfaces that help financial firms manage counterparty credit risk, xVA, and market risk with confidence.
Your Responsibilities
- Design and develop intuitive, responsive UI applications using React (Typescript) and Node.js on the backend.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including planning, architecture design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Work closely with product managers, business analysts, and other developers to interpret functional requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
- Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code while adhering to best practices around performance, security, and accessibility.
- Build and consume RESTful APIs, ensuring seamless integration with backend services.
- Conduct and participate in code reviews, actively contributing to improving code quality and team knowledge.
- Implement automated unit and integration tests using modern test frameworks like Jest or Playwright.
- Contribute to the DevOps pipeline, supporting CI/CD efforts and working in an Agile development environment (Scrum, TDD, Kanban).
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and advocate for their adoption where they add value to the team and product.
Key Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).
- Minimum 10+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong command over ReactJS, TypeScript/JavaScript (ES6).
- Proficient in Node.js (Express) for backend service development.
- Solid understanding of SQL and experience working with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
- Proven experience integrating and utilizing RESTful APIs in production environments.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and tools such as Git.
- Experience working in Agile environments and applying Extreme Programming practices.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like GitLab.
Preferred / Desirable Skills
- Experience with advanced charting and UI libraries like Highcharts, DevExtreme, TanStack React Components.
- Understanding of Bootstrap, HTML5, and CSS3 for modern web design.
- Exposure to AWS services, especially S3, CloudFront, Cognito, and use of CLI tools.
- Knowledge of Docker and containerized application development.
- Additional scripting/programming experience in Python, Java, or Scala.
- Awareness of modern security standards and data protection principles in web applications.
