Roles & Responsibilities
As a Senior WordPress Developer, you will.

• Build modern and advanced WordPress products with state-of-the-art code quality.
• Maintain high coding standards and practices to deliver secure, scalable, optimized, and exceptional WordPress products.
• Assist in the remediation, enhancement, and maintenance of existing products in a fast-paced environment.
• Run security audits and performance reviews for products.
• Conduct extensive research to build innovative solutions with a perfect user experience.
• Test solutions across multiple browsers and platforms in a local testing environment.
• Write and maintain technical project documentation, including inline code commenting, Git repo readme, and clear commit messages.
• Respect timelines and communicate progress proactively in a remote team environment.
• Collaborate with other engineers through architectural reviews, code reviews, peer reviews, and knowledge sharing.
• Take responsibility for the engineering success of your project(s).

Primary Skills

• Expert skills in PHP, JavaScript, Ajax, CSS & WordPress.
• Knowledge of WordPress plugins and theme development.
• A clear understanding of WordPress Actions and Filters.
• Proficiency in object-oriented PHP programming, including testing like Unit Tests.
• Excellent understanding of concepts such as OOP, Namespace, Traits & Design Patterns.
• Ability to extend interfaces with ReactJS.
• Experience working with various REST APIs and React.js library.
• Extensive knowledge of web application security.
• Expertise in building performance-optimized applications.
• Ability to conduct security & performance audits.
• Excellent research skills & innovative approach towards solutions.
• Good understanding of User Experience.
• Debugging knowledge for a wide range of browsers and devices.
• Team-oriented behavior and excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Good to Have

• Experience working with WP-CLI.
• Experience with PHPCS, SonarLint, RIPS Security Application, etc.
• Package manager and automation tool experience (e.g., npm, Grunt & WebPack).
• Experience working with Node.js.
• Experience with WooCommerce, Multisite, and API integrations.
• Experience with modern PHP frameworks and JavaScript/Frontend development.
• Setting up CI/CD workflows with Travis CI and GitHub.
• Knowledge of Docker and Vagrant.
• Remote working experience appreciated.
