We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic integration professional to join our team as a Senior Consultant - API Solution Designer. The ideal candidate will have proven technical skills in API Management and Integration, with hands-on experience in designing and implementing integration solutions using APIs and Microservices Architecture. This role involves leading design workshops, managing teams, and working closely with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and recommend integration solutions based on various integration patterns.
- Develop and implement REST/SOAP web services and API integrations using Mulesoft, Apigee, Axway, or similar technologies.
- Lead design workshops and guide teams in the development and implementation of integration solutions.
- Manage client stakeholders and internal teams with excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Provide technical guidance on API and Microservices architecture, including design, deployment, security, and performance.
- Suggest and implement technology alternatives to address specific tasks and challenges.
- Write and review design documents, and effectively communicate design solutions to various audiences.
- Deliver integration projects on time and mentor junior team members.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of overall experience with at least 5+ years of experience in API development.
- Hands-on experience with Java Spring Boot for API development.
- Demonstrated experience with Spring framework, RESTful APIs, JSON, and Web Services.
- Proficient in using delivery tools such as Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins/Bamboo, Junit, Test Automation, and SonarQube.
- Strong experience with databases, Hibernate/JPA, and writing complex SQL queries.
- Deep understanding of API and Microservices design, deployment, security, and integration patterns.
- Ability to read/create Swagger specifications and handle debugging for client and server-side components.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to deliver on timelines and collaborate effectively with stakeholders and peers.
Preferred Skills
- Ability to estimate end-to-end delivery of integration projects.
- Strong customer interfacing skills and ability to tackle complex integration issues.
