We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Data Modeler / Database Designer with a strong background in the life insurance industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data modeling, particularly using Erwin Data Modeler to design conceptual, logical, and physical data models. This role requires a deep understanding of life insurance business processes, products, and regulatory requirements, along with exceptional SQL skills and experience working with various relational databases.
Key Responsibilities
Design and Develop Data Models
- Utilize Erwin Data Modeler to create and maintain high-quality conceptual, logical, and physical data models that align with business requirements.
- Ensure data models are optimized for performance, scalability, and ease of use.
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams
- Work closely with business analysts, software developers, and database administrators to understand data requirements and translate them into robust data models.
- Participate in data governance initiatives to ensure data integrity and consistency across the organization.
Implement Data Modeling Best Practices
- Apply data modeling techniques and best practices to develop efficient and effective data structures.
- Conduct regular reviews and updates to data models to accommodate changing business needs.
Database Design and Optimization
- Design and optimize relational database schemas for performance and data integrity.
- Collaborate with database administrators to implement and maintain databases across various platforms, including SQL Server, Oracle, and DB2.

Required Qualifications
Experience
