Job Description

As a Senior ETL Developer - Oracle, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to developing, optimizing, and maintaining ETL programs using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI). You will work on improving performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring seamless data integration across multiple environments. This role requires a deep understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and Oracle BI tools to support strategic business needs and enhance customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design End-to-End Solutions. Develop and implement custom data warehouse solutions tailored to business needs using Oracle BI stack, ODI, and SQL.
  2. Data Warehousing Expertise. Apply best practices in dimensional modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas) and draft High-Level and Low-Level Data Warehouse (DWH) designs.
  3. Data Lineage & ETL Automation. Prepare data lineage sheets, automate ETL jobs, and implement failure notification mechanisms.
  4. Performance Optimization. Optimize ODI mappings and SQL queries to enhance performance and efficiency.
  5. Production Support. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in daily ETL load processes across different environments.
  6. Multi-Database Expertise. Work with Oracle, SQL Server, and other databases, leveraging complex SQL queries for debugging and optimization.
  7. Business Analytics & Data Integration. Ensure seamless integration of data sources for accurate reporting and analytics.
  8. Collaboration & Training. Work closely with cross-functional teams, provide training on ETL and DWH concepts, and mentor team members on technical challenges.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience working with Oracle BI Applications (OBIA) and ODI in a BIAPPS environment.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, including SCDs, aggregation, hierarchy, partitioning, and materialized views.
  • Proven expertise in performance tuning of SQL programs and ODI development.
  • Experience in designing and optimizing DWH solutions for complex business needs.
  • Ability to review existing ETL processes, suggest improvements, and implement optimizations.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and experience in debugging SQL queries.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL automation, monitoring, and failure recovery.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with global teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
  • Experience working with other ETL tools apart from ODI.
  • Prior experience in business analytics, data governance, and data integration projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to coordinate activities across multiple teams.
