Job Description

Emerson has an exciting opportunity for a Firmware Developer to join our team in Pune. As part of our Scrum team, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle development of firmware and applications for real-time products such as RTU and Flow computers. This includes requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and participating actively in all Scrum events. The ideal candidate will demonstrate ownership, initiative, and the ability to deliver solutions from initial requirements to final implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop secure firmware as part of a Scrum team.
  • Participate actively in all Scrum events to achieve sprint goals.
  • Contribute to development activities including requirement analysis, design, work product reviews, unit testing, and testing.
  • Represent the team in global meetings as required.
  • Adhere to Emerson's local and international principles, practices, and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computers, Electricals, or Instrumentation from a reputable institution.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in the Embedded Domain, including bare metal and RTOS-based systems.
  • At least 2 years of experience with C++.
  • Proficiency in software development, preferably within an industrial computing environment.
  • Strong skills in Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) and real-time software design concepts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of industry communication protocols, PLC, RTU, Transmitters, Sensors, etc. would be advantageous.
  • Detailed knowledge and experience in Secure Development.
  • Innovative thinking and ability to develop solutions from minimal requirements.
  • Action-oriented with a high-energy approach to challenges.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a rigorous logical approach.
