Join LinkedIn as a Sr. Staff Software Engineer within the Compute Infrastructure team based in Bangalore, India. This role offers a hybrid work environment, allowing flexibility between remote work and office collaboration. As a key member of our team, you will drive the re-architecture of our compute infrastructure stack, playing a pivotal role in enhancing LinkedIn’s platform scalability and performance.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Contribution. Lead LinkedIn’s Compute infrastructure strategy, ensuring seamless integration of Kubernetes to support thousands of developers and maintain industry-leading standards in security, performance, and resource efficiency.
- Innovation and Leadership. Architect and deploy cutting-edge solutions for LinkedIn’s core scheduling and deployment infrastructure, leveraging synchronous and asynchronous design patterns. Mentor and elevate a team of developers, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Software Development. Develop high-quality, unit-tested software solutions, contribute to continuous integration practices, and uphold code review standards to deliver robust, scalable applications.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of industry experience in software design, development, and algorithm solutions.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Java, Go, C/C++, Rust, or Python.
- Hands-on experience building large-scale distributed systems.
- 2+ years in a technical leadership or architectural role.
- Experience in building and managing Kubernetes infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of software design and development experience, with at least 5 years in technical leadership.
- Extensive knowledge of container technologies, operating system fundamentals, and distributed systems.
- Track record of successfully leading technical teams and mentoring engineers.
- Familiarity with open-source project management, governance, networking, and security principles.
