As the Director of Platform Engineering at Intel Foundry, you will lead a dynamic team of platform development engineers, overseeing and driving various aspects of platform engineering, from design to deployment.
Responsibilities
- Directing a team of platform development engineers, managing their activities, functions, and responsibilities.
- Driving priority feature decisions to ensure product competitiveness, while managing trade-offs in landing zone choices.
- Collaborating with business teams to establish a complete platform strategy, leading it through planning, execution, and launch phases.
- Overseeing financial planning, budgeting, and managing expenses related to platform engineering.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as silicon and electrical design engineering to create design guidelines, resolve challenges, and define new technology requirements.
- Building and leading a high-performance engineering team, with a focus on recruitment and talent management.
- Ensuring team execution through clear goal setting, accountability, and differentiated performance management.
- Inspiring and developing team members, while fostering a productive work environment.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in EE/Computer Science, along with an MBA or related field.
- 15+ years of experience in a related field, with at least 8 years in building and leading high-performance engineering teams.
- Experience in demonstrating performance targets and making system design trade-offs to meet schedule and cost requirements.
- Cross-system understanding of power, thermal, mechanical, signal integrity, etc.
- Experience in working with external customers on complex systems and projects.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to influence internal and external stakeholders.
