Job Description

As a ServiceNow Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing ServiceNow solutions that enhance our clients' operational efficiency. Your expertise in ServiceNow development will be crucial in delivering high-quality, scalable solutions while mentoring and guiding team members towards excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Requirement Analysis. Thoroughly understand functional requirements and analyze client needs to provide effective solutions.
  2. Solution Design. Envision and define the overall solution for functional and non-functional requirements, selecting appropriate technologies, patterns, and frameworks.
  3. Development Coordination. Enable application development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  4. Testing and Rollout. Lead and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and manage production rollouts to ensure successful implementation.
  5. Effort Estimation. Create, understand, and validate Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and provide justified effort estimations for tasks and modules.
  6. Issue Resolution. Address issues promptly, maintaining a positive mindset and a focus on continuous improvement.
  7. Team Mentorship. Provide constructive feedback to team members, set clear expectations, and hold them accountable for delivering high-quality work.
  8. Troubleshooting. Assist the team in troubleshooting and resolving complex bugs, ensuring timely resolutions.
  9. Design Justification. Propose solutions for any issues raised during code/design reviews and justify the decisions made.
  10. Proof of Concept (POC). Conduct POCs to validate that suggested designs and technologies meet project requirements.

Key Qualifications

  1. Experience. 5+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development, with a strong focus on Service Portal, ServiceNow integration, Web services, ITSM, and ITOM.
  2. Integration Skills. Proven experience in integrating ServiceNow with third-party systems.
  3. ITIL Knowledge. Solid understanding of ITIL principles and best practices.
  4. Technical Proficiency. Proficient in configuring ServiceNow using scripting languages (UI Policies/Actions, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Jelly scripting, AngularJS).
  5. Communication Skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with users, technical teams, and management to gather requirements and explain technical concepts.
  6. Leadership Qualities. Strong mentoring skills to guide team members towards high standards of delivery.

Educational Background

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
