We are hiring a Software Engineer II to strengthen our integration ecosystem, enabling seamless cross-platform and enterprise-grade AI capabilities through extensible ISV connectors. You'll join a highly collaborative and agile team that partners closely with product teams, engineering groups, and platform leaders across Microsoft. Your work will directly empower enterprises to elevate employee experience, reduce support costs, and modernize workflows with AI-powered automation.
You'll be working at the heart of the M365 Copilot innovation engine collaborating with Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Azure AI, and Microsoft Graph teams, all while delivering at startup velocity within the structure and scale of Microsoft.
Key Responsibilities
- Navigate technical ambiguity in the AI and LLM (Large Language Models) space, working hand-in-hand with product managers to rapidly define and iterate on technical requirements.
- Build scalable, secure, and efficient microservices and APIs that integrate with major enterprise platforms like SAP, Workday, Oracle HRMS, ServiceNow, and others.
- Collaborate with partner teams across Microsoft, contributing to shared codebases and championing reusable solutions that align with our platform vision.
- Lead design and implementation of identity and access workflows including OAuth2.0, OpenID Connect, and SSO/OBO (On-Behalf-Of) mechanisms.
- Ensure robust quality, performance, and telemetry in all your work obsessing over delivering excellent experiences for real users.
- Stay current on AI/ML trends and help envision future product features powered by LLMs and the Copilot ecosystem.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, OR equivalent industry experience.
- 4+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, preferably building distributed systems and enterprise-grade microservices.
- Strong programming skills in at least one modern language such as C#, Java, C++, Python, or JavaScript.
- Proven experience with authentication and identity protocols such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, and integrating Single Sign-On across multiple platforms.
- Experience designing and implementing scalable backend systems with strong testing, debugging, and monitoring skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and collaborative environment with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field is a plus.
- 4+ years of experience working on distributed cloud platforms (Azure preferred), microservices, and containerized applications.
- Familiarity with enterprise HR/IT/ERP systems such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle, ADP, and ServiceNow, especially their APIs and integration patterns.
- Experience in building AI-first applications, particularly those leveraging LLMs or Microsoft Copilot Studio.
- Strong communication skills with an ability to lead conversations across engineering and product disciplines, especially in ambiguous or fast-evolving environments.
