As a Software Engineer III on the Commerce team, you will contribute to building cutting-edge experiences for users engaging in e-commerce. This role requires a versatile engineer who can work across the full stack, from designing scalable back-end systems to creating intuitive front-end experiences.
Responsibilities
- Development. Write and enhance product or system development code, managing project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Design & Review. Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders. Decide on the best technologies to use and review code developed by others to ensure best practices.
- Debugging & Troubleshooting. Triage and resolve product or system issues. Analyze and debug to identify and resolve issues affecting hardware, network, or service operations.
- Documentation. Contribute to and maintain documentation and educational content. Adapt content based on product updates and user feedback.
- Innovation. Apply your expertise to develop and optimize large-scale systems and performance. Develop accessible technologies and ensure code and system health.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in software development using one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, GO, C++).
- 2 years of experience with data structures, algorithms, and full stack development, including front-end technologies (e.g., JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 2 years of experience with performance tuning, large-scale systems data analysis, and debugging.
- Experience with developing accessible technologies and proficiency in software test engineering.
Salary Range
The US base salary for this position ranges from $136,000 to $200,000 per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary within this range is determined based on factors such as work location, job-related skills, experience, and education. Specific salary details will be provided during the hiring process.
