Gartner is seeking motivated and skilled developers to join the Gartner Peer Insights Team. This team is responsible for developing a scalable and secure platform for Gartner Peer Insights, which serves as a vital tool for business professionals to evaluate technology solutions. As a developer, you will work with advanced tools and techniques, focusing on high-performance web development, data processing, and seamless system integration.
What You Will Do
- Collaborate & Innovate. Partner with leadership to explore existing systems, identifying opportunities for optimization and improvement.
- Application Development. Design, develop, and deploy Spring Boot applications that integrate with databases, AWS services, and RESTful APIs.
- Work with Open Source Tech. Contribute to open-source technologies while leveraging Java in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Code Quality & Testing. Write clean, efficient code with appropriate unit tests, integration tests, and deployment scripts. Review project artifacts created by peers.
- UI Implementation. Work alongside the design team to convert designs into functional user interfaces, ensuring compatibility across browsers and optimal performance.
- Continuous Improvement. Contribute to the improvement of UI, software architecture, and the adoption of new technologies.
What You Will Need
Must-Have Qualifications
- Experience. Minimum 2+ years in Java development, with a focus on J2EE and Spring Boot frameworks.
- Database Proficiency. Experience with both relational databases (e.g., Postgres) and non-relational databases (e.g., Elastic Search).
- API Integration. Proven experience in the creation and consumption of Restful APIs.
- Strong Understanding. Solid grasp of OOP principles, design patterns, and distributed systems.
- Security Knowledge. Understanding of security best practices in software development.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Frontend Skills. Experience in React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Cloud Experience. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
- CI/CD Tools. Experience with Jenkins, Git, or similar automation/repository management tools.
