Job Description

Join our team at Intel as a Senior Standard Cell Circuit Designer, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of semiconductor manufacturing. In this position, you'll define, build, and evaluate standard cell circuit and layout designs to ensure they meet stringent design requirements such as power efficiency, performance, area optimization, and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Define, develop, and evaluate standard cell circuits to align with design specifications, ensuring optimal performance in areas such as power consumption, speed, and chip area utilization.
  • Drive transistor-level circuit design and conduct thorough performance analysis to guarantee adherence to design objectives.
  • Conduct modeling of standard cell circuits, including CMOS device characterization, and perform comprehensive timing, power, and reliability assessments.
  • Collaborate closely with IP and System-on-Chip (SoC) design teams to integrate ideas and requirements, ensuring alignment with performance, power, and area targets.
  • Partner with process technology teams to establish and refine process requirements tailored for standard cell design.
  • Verify standard cell circuits for functionality, performance, and power efficiency, and conduct rigorous validation of Electronic Design Automation (EDA) model views.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between design teams and standard cell library providers, ensuring seamless communication and alignment of design requirements.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, plus 5 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree plus 3 years of experience.
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in transistor/circuit or standard cell design, including proficiency with characterization tools and SPICE simulation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency (5+ years) in Python or similar scripting languages.
