Job Description

As a Corporate Operations Engineer on Google’s IT Support Technician team, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our internal tools and technologies. Our mission is to empower the people and technology that keep Google running efficiently. You’ll provide front-line user support for our employees, handle complex troubleshooting, and contribute to global IT projects and process improvements.

In this role, you’ll gain exposure to a wide range of technical environments and work alongside talented teams in a fast-paced, innovative company. The support you provide directly impacts the productivity and success of Google’s internal operations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience in designing, developing, or troubleshooting Linux, networking, mobile, video conferencing, or voice technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience troubleshooting applications in Linux, Mac, and Windows environments.
  • Proven ability to resolve issues across multiple operating systems.
  • Strong customer service skills with excellent organizational, prioritization, multitasking, communication, and leadership abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide remote and on-site support for multiple technologies and platforms including hardware, software, services, and integrated video/audio conferencing equipment at a large scale.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of IT issues, identifying and resolving them across various operating systems and technologies.
  • Use your insights and user feedback to collaborate with partner teams, advocating for improvements in user experiences and prioritizing solutions.
  • Lead and partner with peers, vendors, and other technical teams to ensure the timely resolution of incidents and problems.
  • Contribute to long-term IT projects by developing scripts, tools, and solutions that automate tasks, prevent future issues, and improve overall user productivity.
  • Participate in or lead IT projects, focusing on technical improvements, automation, and delivering impactful solutions.
