Job Description

We are seeking visionary professionals to join our team as Program Managers. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, scoping, and defining the technical design of software features, solutions, or products. You will drive execution and ensure timely delivery while collaborating with cross-functional teams including marketing, design, and R&D. Your role will involve refining requirements, managing risks, and ensuring high-quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead agile planning and execution for multiple complex projects or programs to support the evolution of HP’s software products.
  • Partner with cross-functional software development teams to prioritize, plan, track, and execute complex programs.
  • Perform program analysis, manage risks, and communicate program status across multiple levels of management.
  • Collaborate with Asset and Product Owners/Managers to understand requirements and close gaps through effective interventions.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, technical leads, and architects to achieve high-quality and timely deliveries.
  • Oversee end-to-end testing management activities, identify and address issues and gaps in the process.
  • Continuously assess and improve software development lifecycle processes and mentor team members.
  • Manage risks and resolve issues affecting release, scope, schedule, and quality.
  • Develop and maintain a Program Resource Map, addressing any support shortages and ensuring execution excellence.
  • Support resource management, including human resources, infrastructure, and initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to IT governance and documentation standards.
  • Participate in establishing the Program Execution Model using SAFe and Agile principles and educate stakeholders on best practices.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Extensive experience in planning, developing, and delivering software products using agile development practices.
  • Proven track record in managing cross-organizational software development projects from initiation through delivery.
  • Hands-on experience with metrics development and reporting for engineering projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with large-scale systems.
  • Experience with controlled software release processes and product lifecycle management tools.

Scope & Impact

  • Act as an expert lead within the program management practice.
  • Directly influence the nature of the work delivered and the overall quality of delivery.
  • Impact program timelines and deliverables significantly.
  • Manage cross-functional programs involving multiple software engineering teams.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Typically, 12+ years of total experience with 7-10 years in program management for cloud and microservices-based platforms/products.
  • Proficient in Agile and SAFe methodologies.
  • Experience in context management, stakeholder communications, planning, and agile program tracking.
  • CSM certification is desirable, agile planning experience is required.
