We are seeking a skilled Technical RFP Writer to join our expanding team. This role will involve close collaboration with operations and sales teams to craft comprehensive and persuasive RFP responses that highlight our strengths and meet prospective client needs. Your work will play a critical role in articulating our value proposition through detailed, compliant, and engaging content.
Key Responsibilities
- Storyline Development. Craft a compelling narrative that showcases our company’s strengths, differentiators, and value proposition, aligned with client insights.
- Collaboration with SMEs. Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to transform technical concepts into accessible, compelling written material. Conduct interviews to extract key solution ideas and integrate them effectively into proposal content.
- Content Creation. Develop proposal sections that are detailed, accurate, and tailored to meet RFP requirements. Utilize graphics and visual aids to enhance written content.
- Proposal Quality Assurance. Partner with proposal managers, editors, SMEs, and the production team to ensure the delivery of high-quality proposals. Provide detailed editing and assist in the refinement of technical sections.
- Analysis and Preparation. Analyze RFPs to create compliant and impactful technical content. Participate in kick-offs and reviews, and organize technical information for diverse proposal requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Management, MIS, Marketing, Technical Writing, Communications, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in technical proposal writing, particularly for government RFPs.
- Familiarity with technical areas such as application development, IT, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and Big Data.
- 3+ years of experience producing technical publications and documentation.
- Expertise in technical writing principles, standards, and best practices.
- Exceptional ability to create content for various objectives and audiences.
- Strong understanding of the U.S. service and solution industry.
- Proficiency in developing content independently, based on minimal input from SMEs.
- Experience preparing internal technical references, training materials, and procedural guides.
