You will be responsible for creating a variety of technical content including product documentation, UI embedded instructions, product tours, user messages, illustrations, and videos. Your goal is to make content that is easy to understand, navigate, and utilize for a global audience.
- Simplifying Complex Technical Concepts. You will take technically dense or complicated product features and simplify them into content that is consumable and easy to act upon. You will leverage multiple sources of information, ensuring that the content is digestible for users at all levels.
- Delivering Clear and Inclusive Content. You will ensure that all technical content is not only clear and concise but also inclusive, accessible, and effectively translated for a global audience. Your ability to craft content that resonates with diverse users will be crucial to driving the adoption and success of IBM products.
- User-Centered Design & Testing. A core aspect of your role will involve working closely with user personas, studying user scenarios, and reviewing UI terms and flows. You will actively contribute to design reviews and conduct user testing to ensure that the content aligns with actual user needs and helps in driving product adoption.
- Collaborate Across Teams. You will work directly with cross-functional teams, including Design, Product Management, Development, Marketing, Support, Sales, and Enablement. You will be a key player in telling a cohesive and compelling product story, using your expertise and empathy for the end user to influence product design decisions.
- End-to-End Content Management. You will own parts of the end-to-end content lifecycle, from design and development to editing, translation, and ongoing maintenance. Your responsibility will include ensuring content is not only timely but also relevant and high-quality across its lifecycle.
