Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA Engineer with a strong background in Central Reservation System (CRS) testing. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a passion for quality, and a deep understanding of CRS functionalities and workflows. This role involves working closely with the development and product teams to ensure the reliability and performance of our reservation system.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Test Planning and Execution. Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for CRS applications.
  2. Quality Assurance. Perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing to ensure the quality of CRS.
  3. Defect Management. Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools.
  4. Collaboration. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other QA engineers, to understand requirements and resolve issues.
  5. Root Cause Analysis. Conduct root cause analysis for complex issues and provide detailed defect reports.
  6. Compliance. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in testing.
  7. Test Automation. Participate in test automation efforts to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.
  8. Status Reporting. Provide regular status updates on testing activities, issues, and risks to stakeholders.
  9. Process Improvement. Continuously improve QA processes and methodologies to enhance product quality.

Requirements

  1. Education. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. Experience. Proven experience as a QA Engineer with a focus on Central Reservation System testing.
  3. Knowledge. Strong knowledge of CRS functionalities, workflows, and industry standards.
  4. Tools. Proficiency in using test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
  5. Automation. Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, QTP) is a plus.
  6. SDLC Understanding. Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
  7. Skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  8. Communication. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  9. Teamwork. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  10. Attention to Detail. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Industry Experience. Experience in the hospitality, travel, or a related industry.
  2. Tools. Candidates who are recently working with the Amadeus CRS tool.
  3. Methodologies. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  4. Certifications. Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) is a plus.
