Job Description

As a Technical Test Lead, you will be responsible for defining test strategies and plans based on project requirements. Your role will involve leading test execution, managing defects, and implementing and maintaining automation frameworks. You will use tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, and Rest Assured to enhance the QA process. Additionally, you will mentor and guide team members and contribute to proposals on QA solutions for customers.

Responsibilities

  1. Test Strategy & Planning. Develop and implement test strategies and plans according to project requirements.
  2. Test Execution. Lead test execution, manage defects, and ensure comprehensive coverage.
  3. Automation Framework. Implement and maintain automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, Cucumber, and Rest Assured.
  4. Mentorship. Guide and mentor team members, ensuring effective collaboration and performance.
  5. Proposal Contribution. Develop solutions and approaches for QA proposals to meet customer needs.
  6. Technology Integration. Stay updated on the latest trends in Quality Engineering, including RPA, AI/ML, and mobile automation solutions.

Must-Have Skills

  • Automation Experience. Strong experience in UI and API automation using Selenium (Java), Rest Assured, and Postman.
  • Framework Development. Ability to create, execute, and maintain comprehensive automation frameworks independently.
  • BDD/TDD. Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Test Driven Development (TDD) using tools like Cucumber, Serenity, and Playwright-BDD.
  • Scripting/Development. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Java, J2EE, PL/SQL, Perl, Shell, or Python.
  • Code Coverage. Experience with code coverage tools like Jacoco, JSCover, and Sonar.
  • Build Automation. Familiarity with build automation tools such as Maven and Gradle.
  • CI/CD Tools. Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Bamboo.
  • Version Control. Knowledge of version control tools such as GitHub and Bitbucket.
  • Project Management. Experience with project management tools like JIRA, ALM, and Rally.
  • Team Leadership. Ability to lead a distributed team of automation testers effectively.
  • Communication. Strong communication skills with experience in stakeholder management.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  1. Quality Engineering Trends. Exposure to trends like RPA, analytics-driven testing, and AI/ML in QA.
  2. GenAI Tools. Knowledge of GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot.
  3. Mobile Automation. Experience with mobile automation solutions like UFT Mobile.
