As a Test Lead - Automation at Infosys, you will be responsible for developing and executing test strategies and plans based on project requirements. Your role involves leading test execution, managing defects, and maintaining automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, Cucumber, and Rest Assured. You will mentor and guide team members and contribute to creating QA solutions and proposals for customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop test strategies and plans aligned with project requirements.
- Lead test execution, manage defects, and ensure effective defect management processes.
- Implement and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium (Java), Rest Assured, and Postman.
- Create, execute, and maintain comprehensive automation frameworks independently.
- Mentor and guide team members, ensuring adherence to best practices and high-quality standards.
- Contribute to creating solutions and approaches for QA proposals for customers.
- Lead the team of automation testers in both onshore and offshore models.
- Develop and maintain automation libraries and tools, and manage code coverage tools like Jacoco, JSCover, and Sonar.
Required Skills and Experience
Experience
- 6-10 years of experience in Information Technology.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT/Computer Science or related discipline.
Technical Skills
- Strong experience in UI and API automation using Selenium (Java), Rest Assured, and Postman.
- Experience with BDD (Behavior Driven Development) and TDD using tools like Cucumber, Serenity, and Playwright-BDD.
- Proficiency in scripting and development (Java, J2EE, PL/SQL, Perl, Shell, Python).
- Experience with build automation tools such as Maven, Gradle.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Bamboo.
- Experience with code version control tools like GitHub and Bitbucket.
- Knowledge of project management tools such as JIRA, ALM, Rally.
Leadership and Communication
Proven experience leading a team of automation testers, managing stakeholder relationships, and demonstrating strong communication skills.
Nice to Have Skills
- Exposure to the latest trends in Quality Engineering, including RPA, analytics-driven testing, and AI/ML in QA.
- Knowledge of GenAI tools like GitHub Copilot and their adoption within enterprises.
- Experience with mobile automation solutions like UFT Mobile.
- Salary Range. AUD 101,232 - $102,031 Annual Gross
