SAN FRANCISCO / BENGALURU — January 2026 — Anthropic has appointed Irina Ghose as Managing Director of India, marking a significant step in the company’s expansion across one of the world’s fastest-growing technology and AI markets.

In her new role, Ghose will lead Anthropic’s strategy, operations, and partnerships in India, with a focus on growing the company’s local presence, strengthening relationships across industry and government, and supporting the development and deployment of responsible AI systems.

Anthropic said India represents a critical market for the future of AI, given its scale, developer ecosystem, and growing adoption of advanced digital technologies across sectors such as finance, healthcare, education, and public services.

Ghose brings deep experience in building and scaling technology businesses in India. Prior to joining Anthropic, she held senior leadership roles at global technology companies, where she focused on market expansion, enterprise partnerships, and platform growth in the region.
