At its WWDC event, Apple introduced a brand-new app called Apple Games, a one-stop destination that brings together all your favorite games, updates, and gaming friends in one place.
Whether you're revisiting classics or looking for something new, the Apple Games app makes it easier than ever to jump back into gameplay, discover exciting updates, and connect with friends even in single-player games.

All Your Games, All in One Place
From the new Home tab, players can stay updated on the latest game events and news. The app works beautifully in both vertical and horizontal modes on the iPhone 16 Pro, giving players a complete snapshot of their gaming world.
What Developers Are Saying
Game creators are excited about the social and gameplay enhancements.
- Zach Gage, cofounder of Puzzmo, says, "The app gives me a window back into my friends’ gaming lives. It also helps us integrate community features into our players’ daily routines."
- Glib Platonov, from Doghowl Games, adds, "The new challenges and social features deepen player engagement in just a few taps."
- Tim Garbos, creative director at Triband, calls it a “game changer,” especially for Apple Arcade games like WHAT THE CLASH?

Apple Arcade at the Center
The app also becomes the best way to experience Apple Arcade, home to over 200 top-rated games, including Hello Kitty Island Adventure, Sneaky Sasquatch, and Mini Motorways.
Whether on iPhone, iPad, or Mac, players can explore personalized recommendations based on what they’ve played or what their friends are into. Every game ever downloaded from the App Store appears in the Library tab, so you can always dive back in where you left off.

You can even connect a game controller to easily navigate the app or launch right into gameplay.
Challenges & Social Gaming
The new Play Together tab brings your Game Center friends and group chats into one place. You’ll see shared history, compare achievements, and use invite links or party codes to instantly bring friends into matches.
A highlight feature is Challenges — a way to turn even single-player games into multiplayer showdowns. Compete for the highest score in games like Thronefall or Skate City: New York and invite friends to join you directly from the app.
