Meta is introducing new features in Threads to help you personalize your experience. These updates include adding topics to your bio, allowing replies and quote posts only from followers, an improved video player, and more.

We want Threads to be your favorite app for sharing ideas and connecting with people. These new features give you more control over what you see, how you express yourself, and how you interact with others.

Use Topics to Connect with People

You can now add up to ten topics to your bio, so others can see what interests you. Tapping on a topic in someone’s profile will take you straight to conversations about it, making it easier to find people who share your interests. You’ll also get suggestions for trending topics when posting, which can help more people find your posts.

Manage Posts and Feeds

We’ve added more ways to control who can interact with your posts. You can choose to allow replies and quote posts only from people who follow you. We’ve also updated how political content appears, making it more personalized. Additionally, you can now customize your feed order so the feed you want to see first appears by default.

Improved Video Experience

The video player has been updated with new buttons for play, pause, and skip, making it easier to watch videos. A new progress bar lets you move forward or backward in videos easily.
