Microsoft Begins Rolling Out “Vision Desktop Share” for Copilot on Windows

Copilot Vision

July 16, 2025 — Windows Insiders, get ready! Microsoft has started rolling out a new update to the Copilot app on Windows, available via the Microsoft Store. This update introduces a game-changing feature called “Desktop Share”, along with key improvements to Copilot Vision.

Desktop Share Now Available

You can now share your entire desktop—or specific app or browser windows—with Copilot. Once enabled, Copilot can see what you’re working on and assist in real time. Whether you’re polishing your resume, editing a creative project, or navigating a game, Copilot can provide insights, suggestions, and guidance directly on your screen.

To try it out: Click the glasses icon in the composer, choose the screen or window you’d like to share, and start interacting.

Vision Access via Voice Conversations

During a voice chat with Copilot, you can now enable screen sharing simply by clicking the glasses icon. This lets Copilot better understand your context and offer more relevant help on the spot.

  • Update Version: 1.25071.125 and above

  • Availability: Gradually rolling out across all Insider Channels
