December 1, 2025 - NVIDIA and Synopsys have announced a major multiyear strategic partnership designed to redefine how industries design, simulate and validate next-generation products. The collaboration brings together NVIDIA’s accelerated computing, AI, and digital twin technologies with Synopsys’ market-leading engineering and EDA platforms.

As part of the agreement, NVIDIA has invested $2 billion in Synopsys common stock at $414.79 per share.

Key Highlights

  • Partnership integrates CUDA accelerated computing, agentic AI, and Omniverse digital twins to achieve simulation performance previously unattainable with CPU-based workflows.

  • NVIDIA invests $2B in Synopsys, strengthening long-term collaboration.

  • Joint engineering and go-to-market efforts aimed at accelerating adoption of GPU-powered engineering solutions across industries.

  • Targeted impact spans semiconductors, aerospace, automotive, industrial, energy, robotics, healthcare, and more.

A New Foundation for Engineering Intelligence

R&D teams worldwide face growing complexity, rising development costs, and tighter time-to-market constraints. By combining hardware-accelerated computing with advanced AI, the partnership aims to give engineers the ability to design and validate intelligent systems with greater precision and dramatically reduced turnaround times.

NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang noted:

“CUDA GPU-accelerated computing is revolutionizing design — enabling simulation at unprecedented speed and scale, from atoms to transistors, from chips to complete systems. This partnership harnesses accelerated computing and AI to reimagine engineering and empower innovators.”

Synopsys president and CEO Sassine Ghazi added:

“No two companies are better positioned to deliver AI-powered, holistic system design solutions than Synopsys and NVIDIA. Together we will re-engineer engineering.”
