How to save data for checkbox selected in gridview?

Question

i am having one gridview and check box for each row of gridview if i click on some checkbox and click save button only checkbox which r clicked those data has to go in database.

How can i do this please help

I think you can use Session object, and use hash table to cache (id and object) so that you can handle checkbox (checked/uncheck). write code on page change event. Remove all unchecked records from hashtable if exists and add (update if exists) the checked record to hashtable. and finally save it all. http://www.dapfor.com/en/net-suite/net-grid/features/performance

I am not having much idea regarding Entity framework but try this if you have a bindingsource bound, you should call the suspendbinding: bs.SuspendBinding(); ent1 .SaveChanges(); bs.ResumeBinding(); anyways your task is to save checked records to DB, that resolved i think so.. Now the data is going to db BUT i have to do if(chk.Checked==false) though i am cheking check box and data going in db on button click anyhow if u r cheking any check box or not(doesn't matter) at last giving exeption The changes to the database were committed successfully, but an error occurred while updating the object context. The ObjectContext might be in an inconsistent state. Inner exception message: AcceptChanges cannot continue because the object's key values conflict with another object in the ObjectStateManager. Make sure that the key values are unique before calling AcceptChanges.

getting the error while building : 'System.EventArgs' does not contain a definition for 'RowIndex' and no extension method 'RowIndex' accepting a first argument of type 'System.EventArgs' could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)

What didn't worked. Why I am using label ? I just posted the sample code to access the controls inside gridview. If you are not having labels post the design of your gridview. Also make sure that you have binded your grid view in page load under if(!IsPostBack) { // your gridview bind code } If not you will always get a negative result even if you checked a check box
