Upload file in parts/resume a file upload on server?

Hi friends,
Please help me sorting the problems of resuming upload of file to server?
Problem in detail
I am uploading big files on server almost 1 2 GB using HTTP and sometimes what happens is that after 99% the file transfers fails due to some network problem. Now I want to restart the file transfer after the bytes that I have uploaded. In Http if I transfer file from point where I left then it replaces the existing file...........
Please do provide some suggestions ASAP.
I have been googling for one day but no hopes...

Jitendra my problem is not how to upload a file, but I want to resume the file upload i.e. if after certain data of file has been uploaded and then the upload fails due to some reason then I need to restart the transfer but I want to start the transfer of file where it was left i.e. resuming the tranfer.
