Charms Bar in Windows 8

Introduction

In this article, we are explaining what the Charms Bar is in Windows 8. In Windows 8, you can access the Charms Bar in two ways. The first is by moving the cursor onto the bottom-right of the screen which will be shown on the right and the second is by pressing the Windows key + C on your keyboard. It is a shortcut key. The Charms Bar provides elements such as Search, Share, Start, Settings and Devices, etc.

You can access the applications, files, and others with the help of Search. The search option can be used to search for anything on your computer. The share option provides a view share for the running application. In the Device Button, you can change the settings of a device connected to your PC.

How to Use the Charms Bar in Windows 8?

Step 1. In Windows 8 Desktop Mode, you can access the Charms Bar. You move the cursor on the right-bottom and you will see the Charms Bar.

Step 2. In the Windows 8 Metro screen, you can access the Charms Bar. You can press the Windows key + C or move your mouse to the bottom-right and the Charms Bar window will be shown.

Step 3. The Charms Bar provides the Settings Button. The Settings provides you with six basic settings WiFi, Audio, Brightness, Notification, Power, and Language.

Step 4. The Charms Bar is Context-Sensitive; in other words, it is affected by the current application-related settings and options. If you want to access the Charms Bar, from the Start Screen for instance, then you can set the tiles that you want to see on the Start Screen.

Step 5. Select tiles from Settings then the Tiles window will be opened where we can turn On/Off administrative tools.
