Enable Cortana on Windows 10

I am using Windows 10 Pro Insider Preview Build 10130, the latest Windows build available for Windows Insiders.

On the Windows desktop, Cortana is your personal assistant and available 24/7 to help you find stuff on your computer or the web. She can also work for you in the background if you like.

To enable Cortana, right-click on the Search toolbar on your Taskbar. See Figure 1.

You will see the Search results pane opened or other pane and you will also see a Settings icon at the top-left just below the Search icon. Click on the Settings icon, you will see a toggle, “Do you want Cortana to work for you?” See Figure 2.

By default, this toggle is off.

Turn on the toggle.

Now, you will see more options in the left side bar. See Figure 3.

Figure 4 shows the list of things Cortana can do for you.

Feel free to play around and let us know how you like Cortana and its services.
