What is Evernote?

Notion by Notion Labs Inc. is a freemium productivity and note-taking web application. It provides task management, project tracking, to-do lists, and bookmarking as organizing tools. Notion, like many Notion rivals, can be described as a note-taking and idea-organizing platform, but it is so much more. Notion, for example, may be used to collect notes, track your progress, create an art mood board, and organize project data.

Both Notion and Evernote provide powerful organizing tools. Notion provides additional organizational freedom and allows you to construct bespoke workspaces using templates as a starting point. Evernote's organizational system is more defined, but it still allows users to decide how they keep their material arranged. 

Notion does not have a standard organizational structure. How you arrange your belongings is totally dependent on how you prefer things organized and what you'll be arranging.

Notion, for example, lets you mix various "Block" kinds - everything in Notion is a Block - on a single "page" or workspace. You may make daily, weekly, and monthly workplaces, each with a different sort of Block.

 

The organizational structure of Evernote is a little clearer. Notes are used to store individual files, clippings, and other materials, which are then sorted into Notebooks. Users may then create Notebook Stacks by combining numerous Notebooks. It's a simple convention that doesn't require much adjustment.

In certain aspects, such as note-taking, Evernote clearly excels Notion. However, Notion provides nearly all of the same features, plus a little more.

Notion, being a relatively young tool, is far from flawless. However, Notion's developers are paying close attention to the product's user base. Evernote is not in the same league. Although both apps have flaws, many of Evernote's most chronic technological issues have existed for years.

The one exception to our overall endorsement of Notion is if you're primarily searching for a note-taking tool. If this is the case, Evernote will most likely serve you far better than Notion.
