How to use MongoDB atlas?

MongoDB Compass: MongoDB Compass is a very powerful GUI for the analysis of your database in the visual environment. Compass is free to use, and a source is available. And run at all, like Mac OS, Linux, and Windows.

MongoDB atlas: The MongoDB atlas is the best way to store your MongoDB database in the cloud. Mongodb is a fully managed cloud database that handles all the complexity of the deployment.

Mongo db atlas is a database that you use on the server. It means you can say that MongoDB is a cloud server database that is used to store data on the server.

To work on the Mongo DB.

1. you have to go to Google Chrome and search Mongodb atlas. After a few seconds, you can see that a few links are open. Now, you have to select the MongoDB atlas. And click on it.

After that, you have to sign up. So, fill in all the details and create a profile in the MongoDB atlas. After creating a profile, you have to log in.

Another way to log into MongoDB atlas is that you have to log in with your account with your email and using your GitHub account.

After logging in, you have to see the many options; then, you have to select the learn Mongodb option. You have to answer any given answer for the questions according to you.

Question 1. What is the type of application you are building?

Question 2. What is your preferred language?

After answering the question, you have to click on the finish button.

After clicking on the finished button, you can see that there are a few options.

Select your database plane. After selecting the plan, you have to select a provider like AWS, google, or Azure.

After that, you can see that there is a security quick start show on the display, which means you have to choose your security like :

  1. username
  2. password. ( remember your password because it is needed in the next process)

Create user

After that, click on the Create user button.

After creating a user, you have to create your IP address.

Remember that when you enter the IP address. Then you have to enter 000 into your IP address because 000 IP addresses are accessible to your database anywhere on the internet.

After that, click on the finished and close buttons.

When you click on the finished button, after a few seconds, you can see one popup show on your screen that shows the message that your database is completed.

Now, you have to connect your database with the database. After clicking on the connect button. And any GUI interface.

When you click on the connect button, a new screen opens, and it shows many options, like.

  1. Connect with Mongo DB compass.
  2. I have MongoDB compass installed.

If you have installed the MongoDB compass. Then, you have to copy the path and open the Mongodb compass.

Paste the path into the MongoDB compass. And click on the connect button.

Create collection

After taking a few seconds, your database will be successfully connected.

Now, you have to see all the Databases and collections in your database.

The second is another way to connect your database with the command line interface.

You have to download the Mongoose CLI. After downloading is completed, you have to open the Mongoose with the command line interface.

Now you have to write the Mongoose, paste the MongoDB atlas copied path, and press the enter button. After a few seconds, you can see that your database is connected to the cloud. And you have to see all the databases and tables of the database of the atlas database.
