Security

Keep Your Accounts Secure with Strong Passwords

Make it Long and Hard

  • Use at least 12–16 characters.

  • Mix big letters, small letters, numbers, and symbols (!, @, #, $, etc.).

Don’t Use Easy Info

  • Don’t use your name, birthday, or simple words.

  • Avoid common passwords like “123456”, “password”, or “qwerty”.

Use a Passphrase

  • Make a short sentence and add numbers or symbols.

  • Example: TheQuickBrownFox13!

Different Passwords

  • Use a new password for each account.

  • This way, if one is hacked, others stay safe.

Turn On 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication)

  • Add extra security. Even if someone knows your password, they can’t log in without the second code.

Use a Password Manager

  • A password manager can create and save strong passwords for you.

Change Passwords Often

  • Update your important passwords every 3–6 months.

Check for Leaks

  • Use sites like Have I Been Pwned to see if your password has been exposed in a data breach.

Watch Out for Fake Emails (Phishing)

  • Don’t click on strange links.

  • Always check if emails asking for your password are real.
