Launch Edge From Command Line With a URL

Recently, I landed on one of the websites that keeps giving you a spam-ware popup and keeps telling you to call a number, otherwise your computer will be locked. Unfortunately, my Edge settings keeps opening the last page I had opened previously. So, I kept getting stuck on the same spam-ware website.

To fix the issue. I launched Edge with a different URL and close the previous tabs. I am running Windows 10.

To launch Edge or any other browser from command line, follow these steps.

First, Press Windows + R. This will launch the command prompt popup windows.

Now, type microsoft-edge: followed by the URL of a website.

The following command launches c-sharpcorner.com in Edge.

microsoft-edge:http://c-sharpcorner.com
