Differences Between SharePoint List And SharePoint Library

In this blog, Here I have differentiated the SharePoint List & SharePoint Library to get a better understanding for beginners.

This blog helps beginners to understand the basic differences between Sharepoint List & SharePoint Library.

1.	SharePoint List can have attachments.	1.	SharePoint Library cannot have attachments because Files are directly in Library.
2.	SharePoint List has a major version only. i.e., Publish Version.	2.	SharePoint Library has both Minor i.e., Draft Version, and Major i.e., Publish version.
3.	In SharePoint List, do not have a check-in & check-out feature.	3.	In SharePoint Library, have check-in & check-out feature.
4.	In SharePoint List, List attachments are not in the index. This has a lot of implications. While searching, you can not use the refiner to narrow down the docs type.	4.	In SharePoint Library, Library documents are indexed. So, we can search fast.
5.	SharePoint List can not have open in explorer.	5.	SharePoint Library can open with explorer is available.
6.	In SharePoint List, no document preview is available.	6.	In SharePoint Library, the document feature is available.
7.	In SharePoint List, no unique document IDs.	7.	In SharePoint Library, have unique document IDs.
8.	It contains data in a row & column format.	8.	It contains items that have a document.
