When we send the mail to any person. We write email address of the recipient user to send mail. But it has happened to many of us and many of the time that we send the email to a wrong person and after sending an email we regret that “Why did I send that email” and we also think about to get back that email within a specified period of time. So in this blog we will see how to recall a sent mail on Gmail.

How do you recall an email in Gmail?

Gmail has an option, wherein within a specified period of time, you can recall the mail you sent. The following are below steps to recall a sent mail on Gmail :

Step 1: Now click on the Gear symbol-> select Settings

Step 2: Now click on the Labs tab from the setting window and Scroll down and look for the 'Undo Send' option.

Step 3: Now change undo sent disable option to enable.

Step 4: Now click on the Save Changes button to save the setting. It will reload on the home page.

Step 5: Again click on the Gear symbol-> select Settings -> Select General Tab

Step 6: Now click on the enable undo send check option and select a specific time period from the DropDownList. The minimum is 5 seconds and the maximum is 30 seconds.

Step 7: Now Scroll down and click on the Save Changes Button to save the change.

Step 8: Now send mail from gmail. when you click on the send button. then it will show the below message within a specified period of time which we select above DropDownList.

Now click on the Undo to recall a sent mail.
