How to Translate Word Documents in a Document Library in Office 365 & SharePoint 2013

Welcome to an article on ‘How to Translate Word Documents in a document library in Office 365 & SharePoint 2013’. Our users find it difficult to directly translate their Word documents through a library ratherthan copying the content in translate to copy. So rather than pointing to a third party tool or browser translate, we have that on our own SharePoint 2013 and on Office 365 document libraries.

Let’s see how a user can translate a Word file through the library.

Upload a word file to a document library.
Click on the document to open the Word file.
You will see the menu option on the right corner of the document.
Click on the icon as shown by the arrow.
Click on Translate.
The translate dialog box will open as the screen below.
Choose a translation language from the list below.
Select a language and click on OK. I selected Spanish.
You can see the screen below, my document is translated.
