Step by step process detail

A. Steps to re-index the site

  1. Go to your site settings page of the site.



  2. Go to search - search and offline availability.



  3. Now, click on button Reindex site and follow the pop-up Window.


  4. Now, you can search items in your site and validate search result outcome.

B. Steps to re-index the library

  1. Login to your SharePoint site and to the particular SharePoint list or document library.
  2. Click on Library or List breadcrumb on top left corner



  3. Select Library settings or List Settings.



  4. Click Advanced Setting



  5. This step is only for Document Library
    Click on Reindex Document Library to re-index the contents in this document library.



  6. This step is required only for List
    Click on Reindex List to re-index the contents in this List.


  7. Now, you can search an item in your List or Library and validate the search results outcome.
