Do I have to prepare Data structures or OOAD?
Advice
hi all,
I have 10 years of asp.net experience, I am a senior software engineer now
since there is no enough learning in my professional job for the past 4 years(still using forms), I am looking for a job change.
I have learned asp.net core, angular, and azure by myself built few apps. I am good in oop too, but I frightening about data structures and algorithms because I am not aware of new dynamic programming concepts.
Do I really need to spend time learning data structures? Will interviewers really ask coding interview questions for experienced developers?
note: I am interested in a tech lead or architect role in Saas based start-ups.

Winforms to where?
Advice
I've been a developer since the early 80's. Currently my skillset includes 20+ years of SQL Server database development and over 15 years of C#. But it's all desktop and Winforms (old style not WPF) No patterns No unit testing or TDD No domain driven development Little in the way of CI/CD No loose coupling or inversion of control No web and only a very small amount of dabbling with android development In fairness my current job has no call for any of these but at some point it may do. Each time I look at moving to Web technologies I give up as it just seems so much effort. And which technology should I go for? So for any of you who have made the leap to modern development methodologies or tools. Where do I start?

Career advice as a ASP.NET web developer ?
Advice
I am 33 years old and I have learned web forms with C# at faculty. Also I created more than 5 schools projects in Web Forms at the entry or beginner level. After graduation I have worked 3 years in industry not so well connected with software development. After that I was 6 years unemployed, because I was helping my family and I wasn't available for full time job. Meanwhile I have learned ASP.NET MVC and I have done one project where I have demonstrated the learned skills. I also know C/C++, Javascript, Xml, Ado.Net, Html and other it skills not related to the web development.
I don't have professional experience in web development and now I am looking for job and advice where should I proceed with my career as a ASP.NET web developer.
Should I improve my skills in ASP.NET MVC or should I start to learn ASP.NET CORE MVC?
What is your career advice for me?
Should I improve my skills with some new technologies on demand? Which technologies should I learn?

how much important is MSBI for a web developer/freelancer?
Advice
Do i need to be an expert of MSBI (SSRS, SSIS, Power BI, SQL, SSAS, and MDX) in order to complete a project by my own.
As a web developer i know SSRS but i have very little idea of other pillars of MSBI , i want my career to go in simple one direction i.e web development (html, css,js, Asp.net,Azure, sql ,angular etc), if i give 2 hours daily on MSBI learning then i will be good at MSBI in a month or two but does it add any value to my life?
Any guidence will be appreciated.
