hi Danish, The queries of Sybase and sqlserver are partially different.u need to create connection strings in Visual studio.

Select Sybase ASE Database as the data source and .NET Framework Data Provider for Sybase ASE as the data provider

Thanks for your reply , i appreciate this but if i want to go with advantage database server sybase (a sap product) then tell me is there any difference on writing queries in advantage database server and sql server ? and should i also change the sharp code

The application which u are using is doesn't run in windows8/10, because SQL SERVER 2005 doesn't support windows8/10 operating systems.

so u are telling that u want to change ur Sqlserver to advanced SQL server.

Better use sqlserver 2008R2 or Sql server 2014.

there is no need to change code.
