Animations in vb.net

Question

Hello all, I am doing a program that will interface with a production machine. What i need to do is animate the positions of the machine, in otherwords i need to draw a picture of the machine and show the positions of the machine in the program. i have tried to make a series of .gif pictures with a transperent background but the problem is that the transperancies will only go one picture deep. so i cant stack 3 pictures on top of eachother. Can any one suggest a way to do this? Thank you for the help Andy
