ASP.NET web page takes time to load

Question

Hi,

 

In a recent interview Interviewer asked me this question..

 

In ASP.NET web application page takes time to load. So how will you start to fix this issue?

Another question is if the root cause is only in application code and not in database. So how we can explain such type of questions.

 

So how can we answer to this question.
