I think you are talking about local powershell. for this step 1. Install Azure AZ-Powershell module using below url https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/azure/install-az-ps?view=azps-8.1.0 step 2. open up your PowerShell console and type Add-AzureAccount. and fill all the details. step 3. add VM using below command New-AzVm ` -ResourceGroupName 'myResourceGroup' ` -Name 'myVM' ` -Location 'East US' ` -VirtualNetworkName 'myVnet' ` -SubnetName 'mySubnet' ` -SecurityGroupName 'myNetworkSecurityGroup' ` -PublicIpAddressName 'myPublicIpAddress' ` -OpenPorts 80,3389
