Basic code in MVC to redirect from one page to another

Here I mentioned the Controller code for redirect one page to another page.The model state is valid the action is redirect to the index page.

Sample Code:

 public ActionResult Edit([Bind(Include = "BookId,Author,Title,Year,Genre,Price")] Table_book table_book)
        {
            if (ModelState.IsValid)
            {
                db.Entry(table_book).State = EntityState.Modified;
                db.SaveChanges();
                return RedirectToAction("Index");
            }
            return View(table_book);
        }

Hi Kannav

Redirection from one page to another page

 1.Just Redirection

return RedirectToAction("Notification", "DealCards" });

Notification->Actionname

2.Just Redirection with parameter

 " new { parametername = value})">Submit"

"Go Back "

Jquery

window.location.href = Locallhost:3022 + "/Areaname/controllername/actioname?parameter=" + value;

In MVC as routing setup said it can be redirected by calling the action method of one controller.

Ex:

Public YourController: Controller

{

Public ActionResult Index()

{

Return view ();// It means it will search for a view with same name as Index. If it found then it will redirect to that view.

}

 }

Lets say in that Index.cshtml page there is one button present when you click on that button it will redirect to Index2 page of same controller.

So in that button click you need to call the Index2 action method of that controller.

'" />

Chek this code it may help you.

I am not aware of MVC , as i haven't worked on this technology but can provide you with few links over here , have a look at this.
