C# code to clear textBox after result and re-enter

Sir, I am doing a calculator program at the moment.

I have a problem with Re entering of number.

I like to have a code that clear textbox value while re-enter number after hitting "=" button(i.e suppose result is 32, when i hit number 1 again , i want to clear32 and to place 1 instead of.

please help me.

Try this which should clear the textbox when you press any key after clicking the '=' button, though it could easily be altered to only clear it if a number key, dot or backspace key (say) were pressed:

// add this private field
private bool equalsPressed = false;

private void button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
// existing code to calulate and display result
equalsPressed = true;
}

private void textBox1_KeyDown(object sender, KeyEventArgs e)
{
if (equalsPressed)
{
equalsPressed = false;
textBox1.Clear();
}

// any other code already in this eventhandler
}
